Chelsea - Lille: time, channel, line-up, info on the Champions League round of 16 first leg

For its second appearance in the round of 16 of the Champions League, LOSC is heading to the field of the Blues, reigning champions.

By finishing first in its group, Lille certainly hoped to avoid a European heavyweight, certainly not the reigning European champion but the draw, proved facetious for the Northerners, opposing them twice (the draw had been restarted after an error in the selection of the balls, note) Chelsea. A hell of a piece for the Mastiffs' second appearance at this stage of the competition and which will force them to deliver a great performance because the slightest weakness, the slightest error will be exploited. Undoubtedly, Jocelyn Gourvennec knows the challenge facing him and his men but the Breton does not present himself as an expiatory victim. "We are competitors, so we will not play Chelsea as a sparring partner ," he promised combatively.

If Lille is not at its best in the Championship, with a draw last weekend against Metz (0-0) which stuck it in the soft underbelly of the classification, and lacks efficiency in front of these last weeks, it has changed its face on the European scene. After a sluggish first half, the French champion broke free and finished the group stage in a cannonball line-up with three convincing successes.

It is on this basis that Gourvennec will build with a well-defined plan. The Breton does not want his team to suffer and go to hinder his prestigious opponent. “Like all teams, when they defend by running towards their goal, they are less comfortable and a little more vulnerable, so the challenge will be to get out of this pressing to go and play behind their backs and especially behind them. side", exposes Gourvennec, who would see himself replaying a bad blow to Thomas Tuchel, as in the Coupe de la Ligue in 2019 where his Guingamp had been eliminated the German PSG in the quarter-finals at the Parc des Princes (2-1).2gether The Movie 2021One for the Road 2022Moonfall 2022Jujutsu Kaisen 0 線上看Uncharted 線上看Fishbowl Wives 線上看Death on the Nile 線上看Spider-Man: No Way Home 線上看

Tuchel knows the trap
Tuchel, he has not forgotten the trap of the Costaarmoricans and also knows what to expect with LOSC, just like Thiago Silva and Edouard Mendy, fine connoisseurs of Ligue 1. A rough and alert opposition which will have nothing to lose against a much more prestigious opponent. "We all know how physical French football is, how physical the attacking players are, how solid they are in one-on-ones, very disciplined on the ball, and LOSC are lucky to play this match as underdogs" , weighed in on the German technician.

An opportunity and at the same time a handicap because playing in the round of 16 cannot be improvised and Chelsea knows how to negotiate this kind of meeting. Above all, the Blues are a cold-blooded beast. If he stalled in the Premier League unable to keep up with the insane pace of Manchester City and Liverpool, the London club has regained a positive dynamic and has just chained 6 successes in a row in all competitions and won the World Cup in the process.

clubs. To continue his momentum, he will rely on his identified strengths, namely a quality defense orchestrated around the Mendy-Kanté axis and an ability to carry danger at all times with Jorginho maneuvering to serve Lukaku, Zyiech and Pulisic, able to sow discord in any defence.
Lille will not be surprised but the challenge will not be less for a champion of France who is looking for a present and a European future. Falling on the outgoing winner was probably not the expected draw, nor the simplest but perhaps the best to test yourself, let go of everything and above all regret nothing. "On matches like that, it's not where you try things or invent things. We have to be ourselves ," said Gourvennec. It's up to his players to show it.

'Euphoria' Season 2, Episode 7 Recap: Welcome to Lexi's World

It's Lexi's world and we are all living in it in Episode 7 of Euphoria Season 2.

The opening night of Lexi's (played by Maude Apatow) play is finally here and if you did not think Season 2 was dramatic enough, grab your popcorn and settle down because Episode 7 will have you feeling all kinds of emotions. It's so complicated and good, you might want to watch it twice.

Episode 7 cleverly, if a little dizzyingly, flashes between the play, real-life moments that happened off stage in the present and in the past, and the audience's reaction to what they are watching. In one of those present-day moments, Fez (Angus Cloud) is preparing to head out to Lexi's play (wearing a suit with roses in hand) but doesn't quite make it. Well, as far as we know…

'Euphoria' Season 2, Episode 7 Recap

Lexi

OK, so this isn't a performance of Oklahoma! at all. This is the story of Lexi Howard and her life.

'Euphoria' Season 2, Episode 6 Recap

Lexi's play begins by throwing some shade at her sister Cassie, pointing out their differences while also admitting how much she wanted to be just like her as a kid. The actress who plays Cassie on stage is hilarious and has got her impression down to a T.

As Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) looks on from the audience with tears in her eyes, the scene switches to the real-life conversations between Lexi and her older, "more attractive" sister.

Through Lexi's eyes, audiences learn their relationship changed after their dad left and Cassie became friends with Maddy (Alexa Demie). Their father's absence may also explain why Cassie needs validation from men, even if they treat her terribly.

One thing is clear: Lexi became sidelined as she and her sister hit their teens and, as a result, she tried to hold onto her friendship with Rue (Zendaya), which was slowly falling apart.

Rue

As Rue watches from the audience, she can't take her eyes off Jules (Hunter Schafer), who also keeps turning around to try to catch Rue staring. The pair haven't spoken since Jules attempted to stage an intervention, apart from an awkward encounter where Rue muttered a half-hearted "'sup?"

In her play, Lexi recalls the moment she walked in on Rue doing drugs after her father's funeral and the fragmentation of their friendship that resulted. The episode then shifts from Lexi's stage to show the real-life moment between the pair in Rue's bedroom that day, with Rue passed out on the bed and Lexi trying to recite a comforting poem.

In the present day and away from Lexi's play, Rue is hanging at home with her mom Leslie (Nika King), who blurts out her fear that Rue will end her own life. She also makes the heartbreaking admission that if she had to save one of her daughters, she would save Gia (Storm Reid)—a choice that Rue supports.

In the emotional scene, Leslie reveals that Gia has been struggling at school—skipping classes and landing in detention. Leslie also shares her concerns for Gia's mental and physical health in an angry response to Rue claiming her sister was "just fine."

The only good thing to take away from Rue's situation in Episode 7 is that she seemed genuinely healthy and happy, for the first time in a while. Let's hope it lasts.

Fez

Away from Lexi's play, one of the big storylines to play out in real time is about Fez.

For weeks, Euphoria fans have been rooting for Fez and Lexi to get together and after the emotional "Stand By Me" singalong in Episode 6, things looked set to take a romantic turn.

In Episode 7, Fez is getting ready to go to Lexi's play. Dressed in a suit and carrying a bunch of roses, he asks Faye (Chloe Cherry) whether he should wear a tie or not. Things look so very wholesome, but Ash (Javon "Wanna" Walton) can sense something is off when Faye's on-off boyfriend Custer (Tyler Chase) shows up.

Moments before Fez calls Chloe into his bedroom to talk ties, Custer—who is cooperating with the police in the investigation into Mouse's (Meeko Gattuso) disappearance—arrives. It looks like he has placed his phone so he can record his conversations with Fez and Ash, especially after he encouraged Faye to "remain calm" and pushed her to bring Fez back into the living room.

Armed with a knife, Ash sits opposite Custer. He knows something is up and Fez, who is about to head out the door, can sense it too. Unfortunately, that's all the screen time Fez gets in Episode 7.

It looks like Fez did not make it to Lexi's play, but here's hoping that's not because the police have closed in on him.

As long as Ash does not use that knife, hopefully, things will be OK.

Jessie Diggins Reveals Food Poisoning Bout Before Winning Historic Silver in 30-Km Race

Jessie Diggins made history as the first non-European woman to medal in the women's 30-km mass start cross-country skiing event, and the skier said she did so while battling food poisoning.

On the final day of the Beijing Olympics, a visibly exhausted Diggins needed medical attention after collapsing at the finish line in a dramatic scene.

Later, in her post-race interview, the 30-year-old revealed that she had food poisoning over the weekend and didn't know if she would be able to compete.

“It's really emotional,” Diggins told NBC. “That was one of the hardest things I've ever done in my whole life, especially because I had food poisoning 30 hours ago, which is why I thought I was going to die at the finish line.

”But it was so special to see my family and my fiancé right afterwards on video. My legs were cramping the whole last 17 [kilometers]. I don't know how I made it to the finish but it was amazing. We had so much cheering out there, all of like U.S. Biathlon, all of U.S. Ski. It felt like everyone was out there. When it got really hard, everyone was just breathing with me.”

Diggins won bronze in the women's sprint earlier in the Winter Games, but her silver in the 30-km made history as the first American woman to do so in a long-distance cross-country race at the Olympics. She also won gold in the team sprint at the 2018 PyeongChang Games.

Man City vs. Tottenham result: Harry Kane's two goals give Spurs dramatic win at the Etihad

The race for the Premier League title was blown wide open as Tottenham Hotspur stunned leaders Manchester City with a 3-2 win at the Etihad to also keep alive Spurs' hopes for a top-four finish.

A one-time Man City summer transfer target, Harry Kane scored two goals, including a dramatic stoppage-time winner to give Tottenham a win that stopped a three-match losing streak and moved it to within four points of Manchester United for fourth place and a spot in next season's Champions League. Kane also scored another goal that was wiped off the board for an offside infraction.

After its dominant midweek Champions League win, Man City entered the match as the in-form team and clear favorite, but they were in for a nasty surprise. Spurs scored after just four minutes as their new January arrival Dejan Kulusevski applied a simple finish on a Son Heung-min service.

City began to find their rhythm after 20 minutes, upping the tempo and finding a 33rd-minute equalizer. A Raheem Sterling cross was not dealt with by Tottenham's Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier, and the ball fell in stride for Man City's Ilkay Gundogan, who rifled into an empty net for the momentary 1-1 equalizer.

In the second half, City had the ball but struggled to create quality chances against Tottenham's defense, which forced them into wide areas and dealt with the ensuing crosses. On the other end of the field, Spurs were deadly in transition, scoring a second after Son and Kane linked up. The Korean set up the England forward for a simple finish with a half-hour remaining in the match.

The visitors thought they had a third shortly after, when Kulsevski's deflected cross found Kane in the area, only for VAR to scratch the goal for an offside earlier in the move. That opened the door for a second City equalizer after Spurs defender Cristian Romero threw himself in front of Bernardo Silva's cross, only to give away a penalty as the ball hit his hand. Riyad Mahrez made no mistake from the spot in the 92nd minute, and the 2-2 draw looked like it would hold up as the final score.

But it was the North London outfit that had the last laugh deeper into stoppage time. The ball again found Kulusevski on the right, and he had the time to curl back on his left and float the ball towards the far post, where Kane crashed a header past Ederson for the goal that gave Spurs a famous win.

Man City vs. Tottenham final score

Man City 2

Gundogan (33'), Mahrez (90+2')

Spurs 3

Kulusevski (4'), Kane (59', 90+5'),

Man City vs. Spurs updates

FULL TIME! What a remarkable game! Spurs managed to sucker punch City who, despite equalizing twice, couldn't do enough with the ball to ever get ahead of their visitors.

‘Openly British’ Gus Kenworthy wraps up Olympics his way

Gus Kenworthy lifted his jacket to reveal a logo written across his gray shirt: “Openly British.”

That was his farewell to the Olympics. That, along with a thank-you to the sport of freestyle skiing. The 30-year-old who once represented the United States and now competes for Britain explained Saturday after the ski halfpipe final that his message was a play on the phrase “Openly Gay.”

He came out in 2015, the year after he won silver in Sochi — an Olympics where he captured headlines, and imaginations, by bringing stray dogs home from the mountain.

“This sport and the Olympics and competing on a professional level has changed my life in ways I could have never imagined,” said Kenworthy, who finished eighth on a blustery day on the halfpipe and in his final competition. “I’m gay. I felt like I didn’t fit in, in sport. To be out and proud, competing at the Olympics, and all of the opportunities that have come my way since the Olympics, I couldn’t be more thankful.

“I know there’s an expiration date and I’m at that date.”

Kenworthy’s career includes the Olympic medal — the slopestyle silver from Sochi.

An even more iconic moment came four years later in Pyeongchang when he kissed his then-boyfriend at the bottom of the hill. That kiss was caught by TV cameras and turned into a worldwide sensation. Kenworthy said he was grateful for the moment, because maybe it would make things easier for gay men coming up in sports in the future.

He wanted to make an Olympic curtain call in 2022. The most straightforward path was to compete for his mother’s home country of Britain. Some criticized the move by an athlete who was born and trained in the U.S. It’s hardly the first time Kenworthy has rocked the boat.

“I’m not everybody’s cup of tea,” Kenworthy said. “I’m out and proud and gay and loud. I think that a lot of athletes really want to kind of feather the line of every different angle and sort of be able to appeal to the masses. I’ve already kind of accepted that that’s not what I’m going to do. So I’m just going to speak my truth.”

He skied away the way he wanted — on his feet. Albeit, a little sore after a wipeout in a previous run.

“I wish I could have done a little more,” Kenworthy said. “But overall, I’m still feeling very grateful and proud of the career that I’ve had.”

Paul McCartney’s Got Back tour coming to Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena

If any Seattleites still hold a grudge against Paul McCartney (who beefs with Macca these days?) for skipping the Emerald City on his 2019 Freshen Up tour, hopping from Vancouver to San Jose, you can finally put it to bed. Sir Paul is coming back to Seattle.

The Beatles co-founder announced a 13-date U.S. tour on Friday that includes two Climate Pledge Arena shows May 2-3. The Got Back tour actually begins in Eastern Washington, kicking off in Spokane a few nights earlier (April 28), a city McCartney has never played before, according to a news release. The opening run puts Washington at the center of McCartney’s return to the road for the first time since the pandemic began.

The name of the Got Back tour isn’t a nod to a certain Seattle rap hero (weird as that’d be), but a reference to a promise Sir Paul apparently made on his last go-round.

“I said at the end of the last tour that I’d see you next time. I said I was going to get back to you. Well, I got back!” McCartney said in the news release.

Perhaps not coincidentally, the tour name also shades close to the title of Peter Jackson’s ballyhooed Beatles documentary, “Get Back,” which hit Disney+ in November.

Tickets to see the rock icon go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Feb. 25. An American Express presale runs from 10 a.m. Feb. 22 to 10 p.m. Feb. 24.

The Seattle dates will be McCartney’s first since a 2016 KeyArena show when he delivered a nearly three-hour set, which featured a cameo from Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic. Now 79, McCartney’s voice has grown huskier in his later years but still sounded good during that 2019 Vancouver show.

This time around, McCartney will have some newish material to add to the mix, after releasing his “McCartney III” album in late 2020. Recorded during lockdown, McCartney played nearly every instrument on the pandemic record, which yielded three Grammy nominations ahead of this year’s ceremony.

In other local Macca ties, last fall McCartney gave the Foo Fighters’ Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction speech, likening Dave Grohl’s post-Nirvana journey to his own after the Beatles’ demise.

Jake Gyllenhaal Is Extremely Mature About Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well”

Last December, when Taylor Swift released a 10-minute version of her song “All Too Well,” she also brought her decade-old relationship with actor Jake Gyllenhaal back into the spotlight. The 2012 track has always been understood to be about Gyllenhaal, but the revamped version featured plenty of new lyrics that really made him seem like a jerk. Suddenly, the actor became a roundly criticized trending topic across Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, basically anywhere that Swifties set up shop.

The 41-year-old movie star stayed silent on the matter for a few months—although some speculated his wardrobe choice in a W Magazine photoshoot was an allusion to Swift’s album Red—but in a February 17 Esquire cover story, he finally shared his perspective on the song, as well as the angry internet activity directed his way. Gyllenhaal said that the response to “All Too Well” prompted him to turn off his Instagram comments, but did not blame that on Swift directly. “It has nothing to do with me. It’s about her relationship with her fans,” he said.

He went on to say that “artists tap into personal experiences for inspiration, and I don’t begrudge anyone that,” but talked somewhat abstractly about how the actions of influential people online can prompt hostile behavior from their supporters. “At some point, I think it’s important when supporters get unruly that we feel a responsibility to have them be civil and not allow for cyberbullying in one’s name,” Gyllenhaal said. “That begs for a deeper philosophical question. Not about any individual, per se, but a conversation that allows us to examine how we can—or should, even—take responsibility for what we put into the world, our contributions into the world. How do we provoke a conversation?”

Very tactful. Swift has one of the most passionate fan bases on the internet, but there have been times where their behavior has gotten frightening. Some Swift fans infamously doxxed a Pitchfork editor because they were unhappy with the site’s review of Folklore. When Swift voiced her frustration over Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta owning the master rights to her early music back in 2019, it prompted several fans to doxx the two of them, as well.

Many fans and critics see “All Too Well” as one of Swift’s best songs, and the extended version of it expands on the emotional challenges of the relationship that inspired it. “The idea you had of me, who was she?/A never-needy, ever-lovely jewel whose shine reflects on you/Not weepin' in a party bathroom,” Swift sings. There is also a reference to the age gap between herself and the subject (“You said if we had been closer in age, maybe it would've been fine/And that made me want to die”), which fits the nearly nine-year difference between herself and Gyllenhaal.

The 10-minute version of “All Too Well” continues to do huge streaming numbers, and the Swift-directed short film, which features two actors with a similar age difference to she and Gyllenhaal, has racked up more than 60 million YouTube views. The only person who can take the heat off of Gyllenhaal? Probably John Mayer, the widely-speculated subject of “Dear John,” another beloved Swift breakup track she seems likely to re-record soon.
