The 35-year-old posted on Twitter that he and his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, were safe after an incident in which he was confronted by two men in Leyton, with his watch being stolen.

Khan tweeted: “Just had my watch taken off me at gun point in East London, Leyton. I crossed the road with Faryal, luckily she was few steps behind me. Two men ran to me, he asked for my watch whilst having a gun pointed in my face. The main thing is we’re both safe.”

The Metropolitan police confirmed an investigation had been launched, saying in a statement: “Police were called at 2115 on Monday, April 18 to High Road, Leyton. A man aged in his 30s is alleged to have been approached by two males who threatened him with a firearm before stealing his watch and fleeing. There were no reports of any shots fired or any injuries.

“Police responded and conducted an area search. At this very early stage there have been no arrests. An investigation has begun and police are following a number of enquiries.”

Khan, the former WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion, was beaten by fellow Briton Kell Brook via a sixth-round stoppage in Manchester in February.

That was the sixth defeat of a professional career featuring 34 wins, 21 of which were by knockout.

Boxer Amir Khan has revealed he had his £71,000 watch stolen at gunpoint outside an east London restaurant on Monday night.

Two suspects ran towards the former world champion in the street and one pointed a gun in his face before snatching the diamond-encrusted Franck Muller Vanguard Chronograph timepiece.

Police arrived and searched the area but the men had fled in a getaway car along High Road, Leyton around 9.15pm.

Khan, 35, told fans he and wife Faryal Makhdoom, 30, were safe after the ordeal. She later shared pictures of the watch including its serial number in a bid to “find out who’s done this”.

He tweeted: “Just had my watch taken off me at gun point in East London, Leyton.

“I crossed the road with Faryal, luckily she was few steps behind me. Two men ran to me, he asked for my watch whist having a gun pointed in my face.

“The main thing is we’re both safe.”

The couple were at the end of a night out and were ambushed outside the Sahara Grill venue.

An eyewitness told The Sun Khan was “absolutely terrified”, adding of the muggers: “They were not hanging around. They got straight into the car and fled.

“Amir had enjoyed a lovely evening with his wife and had been shopping earlier in the day.

“It raises real fears he was a deliberate target. It’s extremely serious.”

Hours earlier, Olympic medallist Khan shared photos on Instagram of him shopping with a friend in Oxford Street wearing the flashy rose gold watch, which is studded with 719 diamonds.

The star was also wearing the watch at a charity bash for his foundation at the Grosvenor House hotel in Park Lane on Friday.

Khan posted a further update to his 1.4million Instagram followers on Tuesday morning. In a video, he greeted fans saying: “Good morning everyone, had a good sleep. Last night was a bit mad. But glad everyone is safe.”

Showing his empty wrist, he added: “Feels a bit weird not wearing a watch. I’m all good, me and the wife.”

American influencer Faryal and Bolton-born Khan have been married since 2013 and have three children - Muhammad Zaviyar, two, Alayna, three, and Lamaisah, seven.

The couple are filming the second series of BBC Three reality show Meet the Khans: Big in Bolton which follows their “crazy, fabulous and fast-paced family life”.

In 2012, Khan had had to fight off 20 thugs armed with crowbars trying to steal his £100,000 Range Rover in Birmingham.

Khan, the former WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion, was beaten by fellow Briton Kell Brook via a sixth-round stoppage in Manchester in February.

That was the sixth defeat of a professional career featuring 34 wins, 21 by knockout.

Scotland Yard said: “Police were called at 9.15pm on Monday, April 18 to High Road, Leyton.

“A man aged in his 30s is alleged to have been approached by two males who threatened him with a firearm before stealing his watch and fleeing.

“There were no reports of any shots fired or any injuries.

“Police responded and conducted an area search.

“At this very early stage there have been no arrests.

“An investigation has begun and police are following a number of enquiries.”

Police trawled for CCTV footage along the high street on Tuesday morning.

Detectives spoke to local business owners, including staff at Sahara Grill.

A shop worker said: “Amir walked down the road and they struck. They must have been waiting for him.”

The Good Boss holds the record for the most nominations for a single film at the Goya Awards, Spain's equivalent of the Oscars. Out of its 20 nominations at the 2022 ceremony, it ended up taking home six awards: Best Picture, Best Actor for Javier Bardem, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Fernando León de Aranoa, Best Editing, and Best Original Score. Somewhat controversially, Spain selected the film as its official selection for the Best International Feature Oscar, beating out the more critically acclaimed Parallel Mothers. Despite these accolades, however, The Good Boss is an underwhelming movie.

Perhaps The Good Boss appealed to the Goya Award voters so much because it's a movie about desperately trying to win awards. This satirical comedy follows Julio Blanco, the boss of a scale factory who treats his employees as "family" and thus feels way too comfortable prying into their private lives if it means he can get everything in order to win another award for his business. As satire, it's clever. As both comedy and drama, however, the film is seriously hurt by poor pacing. It might be a big award winner, but that doesn't make it a great film.

The one aspect of the film that truly rises to the level of award-worthy greatness is Javier Bardem's performance as Julio Blanco. Bardem is an actor equally at ease playing affable and villainous, and in The Good Boss, he gets to do both at the same time. Blanco is, for the most part, soft-spoken and ingratiating, even when it's clear his actions are pure manipulation. The rare moments his familial mask cracks are captivating; a single glare of his can turn a calm moment instantly tense.

Various issues come Blanco's way in the week before the big awards assessment. In an obvious bit of symbolism, the factory's scales haven't been perfectly balanced lately. A recently laid-off employee is staging an over-the-top one-man protest just outside company property. Anti-immigrant xenophobia is boiling up in the factory and has already led to violent hate crimes in the nearby city. Productivity is being impacted by workers' relationship woes, which Blanco takes it upon himself to investigate all while engaging in his own illicit affair with one of the young interns.

The Good Boss spends a lot of time setting up these various plot threads -- too much time, really. While there is a lot of plot to set up, the script quickly becomes repetitive in re-emphasizing these various situations. The biggest problem is that, except for some moments in the protest, none of the subplots in this supposed comedy are actually very funny.

When these disparate threads finally come together right before the final assessment, the story gets more interesting in terms of both having something to say and giving Bardem richer material to work with. Even so, it feels like too little too late for the film to truly succeed in its comedic aims. Other anti-corporate satires have made the same points with more laughs and greater entertainment value. Its brilliant central performance aside, The Good Boss ends up feeling like a rough draft for a much better movie than the one that broke award nomination records.

Sen Warren pushes TurboTax for answers about its efforts to block free tax filing

As millions of Americans file their 2021 income taxes online today, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is demanding answers from Intuit about its popular TurboTax e-filing product.

In a letter to Intuit CEO Sasan K. Goodarzi, Warren says the company has used “extensive lobbying and adroit influence peddling” to prevent Americans from filing their taxes for free online.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filed suit against Intuit in March for deceptive marketing, an action Warren calls “both welcome and long overdue.” Reps. Brad Sherman (D-CA) and Katie Porter (D-CA) also signed onto the letter.

Many of Warren’s complaints center on the Free File program, an IRS partnership with a nonprofit coalition of tax prep companies founded in 2003 to provide free tax services to low-income filers. Under the terms of the partnership, 2021 filers with an adjusted gross income of $73,000 or less are eligible for the services, which are listed on the IRS website.

https://www.hondochamber.org/profile/vf-regarder-jujutsukaisen0-vostfr/profile

https://www.hondochamber.org/profile/vf-regarder-morbius-streaming-vostfr/profile

Intuit’s participation in the program came under criticism after a series of ProPublica reports showed that both Intuit and H&R Block had misled Free File-eligible filers into paying to file their taxes. The companies also deliberately made the free versions of their software difficult to find in online search results, according to ProPublica. Intuit left the Free File program in 2021.

In the letter to Goodarzi, Sen. Warren writes that “the Free File program has been a failure, scamming taxpayers into paying for services that should be free,” adding that “deceptive practices and outright sabotage from Free File companies” were largely to blame for the low rate of taxpayer participation in the program — a rate of only about 3 percent, by Warren’s estimation.

Warren’s letter also points to a March 31st report from OpenSecrets, which found that Intuit employed former government officials, including former members of Congress, in its lobbying efforts. Intuit’s corporate political action committee has given donations to both Democrats and Republicans, according to the data. The company spent $3.3 million on lobbying in 2021.

Warren’s letter also notes a “revolving door” problem in enforcement, in which Intuit hires former regulators to help deflect government action. A recent court filing revealed that the company had hired former FTC chair Jon Leibowitz “to defend itself from an FTC complaint,” which Warren says raises conflict of interests concerns. A 2019 report from Public Citizen found that Leibowitz was one of dozens of former FTC officials with such potential revolving door conflicts.

Happy Tax Day! Sen. Elizabeth Warren thinks you might be getting scammed.

In a letter to Intuit CEO Sasan Goodarzi, Warren, as well as Reps. Katie Porter and Brad Sherman, laid into the company over its TurboTax tax-filing program's fees. According to the lawmakers, TurboTax offers products that "scam American taxpayers into paying for services that should be free."

At the core of their concern is the IRS' Free File program, through which TurboTax and other participants were supposed to offer tax preparation services to low-income Americans for free. But the lawmakers described that program "a failure" due to underutilization, and noted that Intuit left the program last year. According to stats in the letter, the program was intended to serve 70% of Americans, but as of 2018, it was only serving 3%.

Warren, Porter and Sherman hold TurboTax partly accountable for that, in light of reporting by ProPublica, which found the company was adding code to its Free File site that kept it from surfacing in Google results. The company has since changed that code, according to ProPublica, but that did not apparently satisfy Warren and her colleagues.

They argued Intuit's "influence peddling" in Washington has allowed these issues to fly under the radar. The company previously hired a former top IRS official to be its chief tax officer and, according to the letter, Intuit also hired former FTC chair Jon Leibowitz to defend the company against a lawsuit recently filed by the FTC.

That suit takes aim at TurboTax's "bogus" promises of free tax preparation, accusing TurboTax of "disseminating the deceptive claim that consumers can file their taxes for free using TurboTax" when they often end up getting charged in the end. Intuit called the FTC's claims "not credible."

In their letter, the lawmakers described the suit as "welcome and long overdue."

Now, Warren, Porter and Sherman are asking Intuit to answer questions about its "revolving door" with the IRS and other government agencies. In the letter, they asked Intuit to share the number of employees and external partners Intuit has worked with since 1999, who also held roles in the executive branch. They also asked the question in reverse: How many employees or partners went on to work in the executive branch since 1999? The lawmakers are also asking Intuit to share how much money it's made from taxpayers who make less than $73,000 since 1999.

Intuit has until May 2 to provide answers.

Ultimately, though, the letter isn't just seeking answers. It's also seeking to raise the profile of the Tax Filing Simplification Act. It would give Americans a pre-filled return that they could sign and return to file their taxes. But that bill has been kicking around for years now and only seems to get any mention on Tax Day, so don't hold your breath.

For Warren, the letter is as much about getting answers to questions as it is about pushing companies to change their ways without government intervention. After all, the senator does have a long track record of using letters to get her way.

The Ever Forward is finally free from the Chesapeake Bay one month later

After a month of being lodged in Maryland's Chesapeake Bay, the Ever Forward cargo ship is finally free.

Thanks to the help of a high tide, several tug boats and barges — and perhaps a little Easter Sunday miracle — crews plucked the the 1,095-foot ship free from the shallows off Pasadena, Md., on Sunday.

William P. Doyle, the executive director at the Maryland Port Administration, announced the update on social media.

"A tremendous team effort with a little help from the Easter Sunday rising tide in the Chesapeake Bay. The Evergreen, Ever Forward has been [refloated]", he said.

The push to free the massive ship was a team effort including aid from Donjon-Smit, LLC, the salvage manager and the U.S. Coast Guard, he said.

The Ever Forward had just loaded up with cargo in Baltimore and was heading south to Norfolk, Va., when it ran aground on March 13. The container ship reportedly missed a turn leaving Baltimore, causing it to end up in the shallow waters off Pasadena.

Crews worked for weeks to pluck the ship free. They used "every facet of the sector including dredging, marine construction, tugs, barges (deck barges, crane barges, and pull barges)," Doyle said.

The saga of the Ever Forward was reminiscent of the Ever Given, which is also owned by the Taiwan-based Evergreen Marine Corp. The Ever Given blocked the Suez Canal for six days last March, causing major shipping disruptions.

A giant container ship that was stuck in the Chesapeake Bay for more than five weeks is on the move again.

The Ever Forward cargo ship reached the Annapolis area around 10am Sunday where it will remain anchored until it continues its journey to Baltimore, the U.S. Coast Guard confirmed to WBAL-TV.

The 1,096-foot boat had been stuck in the Chesapeake Bay, off the coast of Gibson Island, since March 13. Its sister vessel the Ever Given infamously blocked the Suez Canal in Egypt for six days during March 2021.

Although the ship, which traveled to the States from Hong Kong, was stuck for more than a month, officials told Bloomberg it has not disrupted trade.

It was on a brief sailing from Baltimore to Norfolk, Virginia, when it got stuck on muddy ground, with 330 cargo containers since lifted off using barges to help refloat it more easily.

Video footage showed seven tug boats towing the Ever Forward boat under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge around 9.10 am Sunday.

This was the third time crews had tried to free the ship.

The Coast Guard is providing the Ever Forward with a security zone while the tug boats continue to transport the ship to a location south of the bay where officials will then assess the situation.

Crews will need to set up a designated time slot to on-load the hundreds of containers that were removed from the ship this past week to lighten the ship and free it. Two barges were used to take the containers back to the Port of Baltimore.

It is unclear when the on-loading will occur and the Coast Guard did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com's request for comment.

The Ever Forward was supposed to call at four east coast ports after departing China on February 2. The vessel had been carrying about 5,000 containers.

Crews removed 500 containers and dredged about 20 feet of material on both of its sides to lighten the load and pull it back into the channel.

As of 10.30am Sunday, the ship was traveling at a speed of 5.6 knots, according to tracking website MarineTraffic.

Kim Kardashian in tears: her 6-year-old son Saint found her sex tape live on their new show

The Kardashian sisters are back on the small screen for a new reality TV show, this time airing on the Hulu platform. From the first episode, Kim finds herself in shame after the discovery of a compromise image by her six-year-old son, Saint West.

In 2020, the Kardashian/Jenner clan announced the end of their reality show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians". And while we thought that the famous sisters were done with the cameras that have followed them everywhere for over ten years, here they are back with the same concept show. Get off channel E! Entertainment, they are now collaborating with the Hulu platform and are once again getting ready to reveal their important daily lives.

And the first episode started off strong! Launching this Thursday, April 14, it shows the whole family reunited over a meal, as Saint, Kim Kardashian's 6-year-old son, arrives with an iPad in his hand. Amused, he then showed his mother a web page where he appeared. The mother of the family then took the tablet and tried to understand what her son had seen. Later, she was filmed calling her ex-husband Kanye West, in tears. "VOIR Sonic 2 (2022) Film Streaming VF There's a photo of me crying, and then I look and there's something very inappropriate written on it like 'Kim's new sex tape,'" she explained.

Apparently this is an unreleased tape of my old sex tape. The last thing I want as a mother is for my past to come back twenty years later, especially for a while with my whole family. It's so embarrassing and I have to take care of […] If my child is a bit older and he can read, I will be ashamed to death” he said then crushed.

Kim Kardashian is determined to make people forget her past
Collapsed, the 41-year-old brunette beauty also stated: “For twenty years, I have this sword of Damocles over my head […] The message is more important than the dollars in the world in which I am. I didn't do anything wrong, I just wanted to protect my reputation and the well-being of my children." VOIR Les Animaux Fantastiques 3 (2022) Film Streaming VF On the phone with Kanye West, he later shouted: "Better to die than let this bullshit happen again. I just want it to go away. They wouldn't piss me off like that.

As a reminder, Kim Kardashian found herself at the heart of a major scandal in 2007, when a sex tape of her and her then ex-partner Ray-J, was published on the Internet. Since that date, the mother of the family has tried to forget these pictures the whole world has seen, in vain.

Sunderland 3 Shrewsbury Town 2

Broadhead’s glanced header from Jack Clarke’s cross enabled Sunderland to pull three points clear of seventh-placed Sheffield Wednesday, albeit having played a game more, and ensured Alex Neil’s side were not left to rue a sloppy start to the second half that had looked like undoing all their good work before the interval.

Leading through early strikes from Elliot Embleton and Broadhead, the Black Cats were pegged back when Tom Flanagan followed up Josh Vela’s effort to become the third former Sunderland player to score for the opposition at the Stadium of Light this season.

For a while, Flanagan’s volleyed effort looked like following similarly costly strikes from Chris Maguire and Connor Whickham that robbed the Black Cats of points. This is a Sunderland team that doesn’t give up on anything though, and after Ross Stewart rattled the crossbar, Broadhead nodded home to extend his rich vein of form. Stewart might have hit a dry patch in the last month or so, but Broadhead has returned from injury at the ideal moment to take up the slack.

It was the kind of breathless finish that Sunderland supporters are becoming accustomed to, although it had not looked like being necessary in the early stages of the game. Prior to kick-off, Neil had been praising Shrewsbury’s defensive record – the third best in League One before yesterday – and stressing that his Sunderland side might have to be patient. Instead, with a lightning-fast start that has not exactly been their modus operandi in recent weeks, the Black Cats established a dominant position with two goals in the opening 13 minutes.

Embleton’s promotion to the starting line-up was a reward for his match-winning intervention in the dying seconds at Oxford, and it did not take long for the Durham-born midfielder to make his mark again.

Embleton was clearly fancying free-kick duties when Flanagan conceded a set-piece just outside the area, but he was outranked by Broadhead. The Everton loanee’s effort cannoned into the wall, but the ball broke to Embleton, who swivelled to hook a sensational first-time half-volley into the top right-hand corner. It was a brilliant finish from a player whose season has not quite gone to plan, but who appears to be hitting top form at the perfect time.

Buoyed by their early breakthrough, Sunderland quickly set about swamping their overrun opponents. Jay Matete and Embleton were dominant at the heart of midfield, Lynden Gooch and Jack Clarke were causing all sorts of problems down their respective flanks, and Dennis Cirkin found himself breaking into a series of dangerous positions whenever he stepped out of the home side’s three-man defence.

It felt like a matter of time before a second goal arrived, and Sunderland duly doubled their lead just 13 minutes in. Cirkin’s break out of defence was key, with the youngster firing in a long-range strike that Shrews goalkeeper Marko Marosi could only parry towards Broadhead.

The striker is clearly brimming with confidence at the moment, and within a flash, he had dispatched a first-time drive past Marosi.

Sunderland almost claimed a third goal before the break when Gooch swept a first-time effort just wide of the far post after the ball broke into his path following a tackle on Broadhead, but to their credit, Shrewsbury gradually steadied the ship and began to threaten themselves.

https://www.portabrace.com/profile/365-dias-pelicula-completa/profile

Ryan Bowman was rightly flagged offside as he turned in George Nurse’s square ball, but the Shrews striker should have done better on the stroke of half-time as he stroked a shot wide of the post after breaking into the left of the area.

https://www.portabrace.com/profile/El-hombre-del-norte-pelicula-online/profile

That was a warning to the Black Cats defence, but it went unheeded as a sloppy start to the second half saw Sunderland concede within five minutes of the restart.

https://www.portabrace.com/profile/After-amor-infinito-online-pelicula-completa/profile

Shrewsbury’s growing confidence in possession was apparent in the slick passing move that ended with Nurse playing the ball infield, and an unmarked Vela applied a clinical finish, stroking a low first-time shot into the bottom corner.

https://www.portabrace.com/profile/Encanto-pelicula-online-castellano/profile

Suddenly, it was one-way traffic towards the Sunderland goal, and with the hosts unable to stem the flow of the game, Shrewsbury levelled just before the hour mark.

https://www.portabrace.com/profile/x-pelicula-online/profile

Anthony Patterson kept out Matthew Pennington’s header from a corner, but on his first return to the Stadium of Light since his deadline-day departure in January, Flanagan claimed his first Shrewsbury goal with an unerring first-time volley.
