Barcelona have leapfrogged Atletico Madrid in the LaLiga table after an impressive comeback. Xavi's side came from a goal down to win 4-2 in what was a feisty affair at Camp Nou.
Yannick Carrasco opened the scoring and gave Diego Simeone's side the lead with a tidy finish but minutes later Jordi Alba sweetly struck a volley from the left to equalise.
Gavi then gave Barcelona the lead after an excellent cross from the new signing, Adama Traore. But Barca kept coming forward and extended their lead moments before the half-time whistle blew.
This time it came from Gerard Pique's header that rebounded off the bar and fell to Ronald Araujo. He was quickest to react and smashed home the loose ball.
Dani Alves was exceptional as his drilled strike made it 4-1 but his afternoon was cut short for a silly challenge on Carrasco. The referee initially missed the incident but after VAR instructed him to take a look at the monitor, he immediately showed Alves the red card.Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 Streaming, All of Us Are Dead Full Episode Streaming, Euphoria Season 2 Streaming
Luis Suarez's return to the Nou Camp was his first in front of the Barca fans and he pulled a goal back to somewhat inspire Atletico with half an hour still to play.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made his debut and held the ball up well when Barcelona were playing a man down.
Xavi's assistant was shown a red card for losing his temper on the sidelines after a tense period of play that involved some hefty challenges from both teams.
But Xavi is the head coach that will go home with a smile on his face tonight as he has taken this Barcelona side back into the top four of the league table. Simeone's team looked fragile defensively which will be a huge concern for the Argentine, especially with the Champions League knockouts just around the corner.
