Sources in the British edition of The Times in Ukraine claim that Russia has developed a clear plan to invade Moldova.
Source direct in Ukrainian intelligence: "We believe that the Kremlin has decided to attack Moldova.
What will happen in Moldova will be very important for us. If Russia manages to take control of the country, we (Ukraine - ed.) will be more vulnerable from a military point of view - it will be a threat to Ukraine's integrity.
If Russia recognized Transnistria's independence, it would be a direct threat and a violation of Moldova's territorial integrity. This will be a repeat of the "Donbas scenario". Then they will supply a large number of weapons, and then they will want to join Russia."

Details : Interlocutors for the publication say that the Russian secret services are considering the possibility of fanning riots and riots in the country. Currently, there is discontent among the country due to rising prices.
Ukrainian intelligence allegedly spotted some activity at Tiraspol airport - the unidentified de facto capital of Transnistria.
Interlocutors of the journalists suggested that the Russian military plans to land airborne troops on IL-76 transport planes and helicopters in Transnistria. Allegedly, planes and helicopters will fly from the airport in occupied Crimea.
At the same time, the authors of the publication note that these allegations contradict the analysis of Western intelligence agencies that Russia does not have sufficient capabilities to fly safely over Ukrainian air defenses in the Odessa region. In addition, in order to supply ammunition and strengthen units to Russia, it was necessary to create a land “corridor” from captured Kherson through the Mykolayiv and Odesa regions, facing resistance from Ukrainian troops.
They may be trying to carry out a military operation closer to Victory Day on May 9. On this day, Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly declared Russia's recognition of Transnistria's independence. In addition, Russian special services may be planning to land in Tiraspol at the same time as organizing riots and protests in Chisinau.
Military analysts Jack Watling and Nick Reynolds of the Royal Joint Institute for Defense Research believe that such an operation by Russia would serve three purposes:
to withdraw part of the Ukrainian troops to the southwestern front;
to stop the current government's pro-European direction in Moldova;
to scare the West that backing Ukraine with arms and finances could lead to further destabilization in the region, particularly in the Balkans.
Analysts noted in the report that Ukrainian intelligence was aware of FSB Major General Dmitry Milutin's plans to try to use the symbols of Russia's prohibition on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, including the St. George, during the protests. It's as if the protesters had to come up with so many forbidden symbols that fines and arrests by Moldovan police look like repression of free speech and opposition.
